The present research introduces the first study to investigate the potential risk of allopurinol on the rat offspring during the neonatal period. Allopurinol tablet administrated orally using gastric tube at the therapeutic dose to female rats from 5 day of gestation till the 21 day after birth. The pup weight and length were recorded at 7, 14, 21 day after normal delivery also liver, kidney and brain histological investigation performed on the later days. Our results indicate harm impact of allopurinol on the neonates as, a significant reduction in the pup weight and length when compared with the control group. Histopathologically, we recorded some degree of alternations in the examined tissues such as pyknosis and karyolysis of the hepatic cell nuclei, dilated blood sinusoids and shrinkage of cortical glomeruli with increased urinary spaces between Bowman’s capsule and glomeruli, renal tubular proliferation or hyperplasia and interstitial fibrosis were seen in certain areas of the kidney also gliosis, dead and dark neurons, dilated and congested blood vessel were seen in the cerebral cortex. In conclusion, more further research and clinical studies should be performed to sure the risk potential of allopurinol during the suckling time. Finally, we advise nursing mothers to avoid using this medication during their lactation period. This drug is used under medical supervision and taken if its benefits are more than its harm.
Coronary heart disease (CHD) is one of the top causes of death globally; if suffering from CHD, long time permanent treatments are required. Furthermore, the early detection of CHD is not easy; doctors diagnose it based on many kinds of clinical tests. Therefore, early diagnosis and treatment are the most important strategies to prevent deaths from this disease and several other diseases. In this regard, used machine learning algorithms to reduce the risks of developing CHD by predicting high-risk people who will suffer from CHD. Using the Random Forest (RF) algorithm in this project, to estimate at 10-years CHD risk of a patient through dataset which ongoing cardiovascular study on residents of the town of Framingham, Massachusetts, USA. And proposed three techniques to address dataset imbalance: Under-Sampling, Over-Sampling, and Hybrid techniques. Applied RF on the Original Clean Dataset as well as the resampling for the dataset through the three techniques. Model_1, Model_2, Model_3, and Model_4 is modeling with the Original Clean Dataset, the Resampling Dataset by Under-Sampling, by Over-Sampling, and by Hybrid techniques respectively. As a result of this experiment, the model using Over-Sampling technique-based prediction has given higher area under the curve (AUC) than the other models. Moreover, the Model_3 has shown the highest Sensitivity, F-measure, and AUC score, 90.83%, 88.3%, and 95.69%, respectively.
Topiramate (C12H21NO8S) is a novel antiepileptic agent classified as a sulfamate substituted monosaccharide. It was approved by Food and drug administration in 1996 for partial seizures in adults. It is classified chemically as 2, 3:4, 5 bis-o (1 methyl ethylene) – b-D- fructopyranose sulfamate. This drug reduces voltage-gated Na+ current in cerebellar granule cells and acts on the inactivated state of the channel. It is a weak carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, enhances postsynaptic GABA receptor currents, and limits activation of the AMPA Kainate subtypes of glutamate receptors. The experimental work studied the ameliorative effect of fennel oil against the topiramate in the albino rat neonates, The nursing mother was divided into 4 groups: group 1 the negative control, group 2 the positive control were given fennel oil (1ml/kg) orally, group 3 Treated administrated with dose equivalent to the human dose (100mg/kg ) topiramate and group 4 Co-Treated administrated with (100mg/kg ) topiramate and (1ml/kg) fennel oil from a day of 1st till 21st day of lactation, the albino rat neonates were sacrificed under anesthesia at the 7th, 14th and 21th of lactation, the organs were isolated ( liver, kidney, brain ) for histological study, the skeletal are stained for the morphological examination, the result showed a decrease in body weight and height of albino rat neonates from the treated group than from co-treated one. Also, there is a histopathological change of examined tissues neonates which is treated with topiramate, the fennel oil administration after topiramate intake enhanced the decreasing of neonatal body weight & ameliorated the alternation of tissues histology. The skeletal system show no abnormalities and the skeletal bone are well ossified in all groups, therefor the fennel oil is considered to be given with topiramate during the lactation period.
Linuron is a non-selective herbicide used for the control of grasses and broadleaf weeds. Its mode of action is the inhibition of photosynthesis. The QuEChERS method for the extraction of linuron residues from chamomile was used. LC-MS/MS method was used for the determination of linuron residues. The linearity was studied in the range of 0.025–0.50 μg/mL using matrix-matched calibration and the determination coefficient (R2) was higher than 0.99. The blank chamomile samples were spiked with linuron solution at three concentration levels yielding recoveries over 90%. The internal standard added in all samples was isoproturon–d6. There were no linuron residues found in chamomile flower, while in the samples of flower stalk the residues were in the range of 0.010 – 0.040 mg/kg.
In the present study, the flow and heat transfer structure around a single square prism were simulated numerically at incidence in two dimensional plane for Reynolds and Prandtl numbers, Re=100, Pr=0.71 respectively. Pressure and viscous forces are exerted on the prism surface by a passing flow. The cross section of the bluff body and the angle of attack are the most important parameters on magnitude of applied forces, flow and temperature patterns. The angle of incidence of square prism ranges from 0 to 45 by a step of 5 degree. At first, governing equations, simulation procedure and grid generation based on an efficient finite volume method have been studied in details. Subsequently, the instantaneous streamlines, velocity components, vorticity and isotherm patterns for different angle of incidence are presented and discussed. Also the global quantities such as viscosity, pressure and total lift and drag coefficients and their root mean square (rms) and Strouhal number are analyzed for various angles of attack. The frequency of vortex shedding decreases with increasing angle of attack. Moreover, the values of global quantities and flow and temperature patterns for angle of attack in the range of θ=30-45 remain nearly constant. The numerical results are in good agreement with the experimental and numerical data in existing literature.
: Inventory though an ideal resource is considered to be one of the most important asset which fulfills various functions of an organisation. The classical model attributed to F.W.Harris (1913), for inventory, however, does not take into account , amongst other things , the quantity discounts given by the supplier, on the cost of the units themselves in order to motivate buyers to purchase in larger quantities . The occurrence of such problems takes place when discounts are offered for purchase of large quantities. These discounts take the form of price breaks (Gupta and Hira, 2011). Unlike the majority of the inventory literature, where purchase price is assumed to be constant and hence excluded from the model, suppliers in many real life applications occasionally offer price discounts. The current paper is an attempt to define a class of inventory problems for buyers where the demand and purchasing cost is a triangular intuitionistic fuzzy number. The ultimate objective is to determine the optimal order quantity under the proposed model .
In this paper we propose a linear intuitionistic fuzzy linear model to select the best vendors and determine the order quantity for allocation. The model is a reformulation of Ghodspour and Brien (1998) model where the objective is maximization of the objective function value representing the total value of purchasing. The selection of vendor is based on criteria like cost, quality, delivery, service and capacity constraints.Often data related to these criteria are uncertain or incomplete,so data can be best represented by triangular intutionistic fuzzy number\'s.The model considers the objective function represented by triangular intutionistic fuzzy number and the constraints are deterministic .The solution of the linear model is based on value and ambiguity indexes. A ranking function is used to convert the intuitionistic fuzzy linear model to crisp linear model and solution is obtained by using optimization software .A numerical example illustrates our methodology to compare a previous model in literature .
The state of strain plays an important role in the evaluation of a structure’s health status, since assessment of the structure’s conditions can be made through the knowledge of strains in a structure. For structural health monitoring of existing structures, strain information is often obtained from displacement fields which can be measured from non-contact methods, such as close-range photogrammetry or laser scanning techniques. As a result, the strain estimation for a given displacement field has become an essential issue in recent years. In this paper, an alternative strain estimation approach which can identify the rigid-body motions from displacement fields and calculate strains corresponding to natural deformations is proposed. Following rigorous covariance propagation technique, the uncertainties of obtained strains can also be realistically determined. Based on the results from both numerical simulation and real experiment, it has been demonstrated that the proposed approach gave a reliable strain estimation and corresponding predicted quality. Consequently, an improved evaluation of a structure’s health status can thus be achieved.
The purpose of this study were to examine the effects of using levels different discarded dates on microbial protein synthesis of kermani sheeps. Four rumen-cannulated kermani sheeps were used in a 4 × 4 Latin square experiment within 21 days period. In this experiment, different amount of discarded dates including 0(control), 10, 20 and 30 % were used. Microbial protein synthesis, blood urea nitrogen and body weight change of sheeps were evaluated. The results of this experiment showed that the increasing levels of discarded dates in diets of sheep increased microbial protein synthesis and reduse nitrogen excretion through urine compared with the control treatment (P<0/05). Body weight change was highest in sheeps fed 30% discarded dates and lowest in sheeps fed the control diet. Urea blood was affected by using different levels of discarded dates in the diets (P<0/05). These results indicate that discarded dates increased microbial protein synthesis in the rumen sheeps. Moreover, inclusion of 30% discarded dates as an alternative feed in sheeps diets can reduce production costs and environmental N pollution.
This paper presents the design and operation of three phase four wire Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) based on supercapcitor as energy storage to compensate voltage sag/swell in electrical distribution system. The proposed system comprises of power circuit of the DVR, Voltage source inverter and supercapcitor as an energy storage device. It involves the control strategy for the operation of DVR during disturbances in the supply voltage. Control scheme is designed using SRF theory coupled to Proportional Integral (PI) controller technique which is applied to the DVR. The operation of the DVR depends on the control circuit topologies. The main aims of this paper is to design, operate DVR power circuit using SRF and PI techniques to mitigate balanced and unbalanced voltage sag/swells in three phase four wire Electrical distribution system. This paper is competent to mitigate voltage disturbances even at low voltage distribution system. The execution of supercapcitor as energy storage is to render real power to the inverter throughout malfunctioning in the supply voltage. The proposed controller was then simulated and outputs were carried out using MATLAB/SIMULINK software.
Nickel-Copper alloys electrolytic co-deposited on carbon steel and their recrystallization thermal permanence under various processed parameter were investigated. The influence of plating variables such as time of deposition, current, bath composition, and pH on the coating properties, structural modification and electrochemical oxidation were investigated with the help of SEM/EDS and potentiodynamic polarization technique. The adhesion and strengthening behavior on the coating was evaluated by diamond based dura scan micro-hardness tester. The thermal stability was studied at 180oC. From the result, modified morphology with perfect crystal growth was obtained. The corrosion resistance as well as micro-hardness of Ni-Cu alloy coatings improved significantly above the substrate and the annealed deposit. After thermal analysis, the surface structure of the deposited sample affirms the presence of pinhole which was attributed to the furtherance of oxidation process leading to internal cracks.
