In this research work, we present here, a modified form of the variational iteration method (VIM) using the Mamadu-Njoseh Polynomial (MNP). The modified numerical method presented is applied to solve Cauchy partial differential equations. We test the modified method on some examples to determine how reliable and efficient the proposed method is. With the exact solution of the test problems as benchmark, we compare the A the numerical results from the modified method with those obtain from VIM. The results give evidence that the proposed method is capable of producing more accurate results than VIM. All computation examples were solved with the aid of Maple 18 software.

Furniture is a special kind of cultural manifestation, which reflects the society background and the local culture. The 18th century is a golden age of furniture development both in China and in Europe. In China, after the Ming dynasty, a peak of Chinese furniture history, Qing furniture developed with specific features. At the same historical period as Qing China, the Western European Rococo furniture presents typical characteristics and outstanding achievements.\nIn this paper, the comparative analysis of Qing and Rococo chairs was based on a study of societal background, materials, and structure. This analysis helps concluding that international trade provided important materials and visible influences. However, on the other hand, the two furniture styles clearly reflect two very different kinds of culture.

The economy of the modern university is determined by various factors, including global transformations, which create highly competitive educational environment. Post-Soviet space of higher professional education is undergoing a series of crises, which are aggravating because of overlapping of international and local trends. The objective of this research was specifying risks and challenges, faced by the regional Pedagogical University, as well as developing strategies for overcoming current risks and working out an adequate response to concrete challenges. The methods of conceptual analysis, in-depth expert interviews and analysis of statistical data were applied. According to most experts, modern universities are currently in the situation of changing of paradigm of their activity. Universities which will not meet the paradigmatic changes of social life are going to lose their status. Russian universities will not be able to use the internal strategy of “imitating” university activity in future. The currently existing offers in the global market of educational services will radically change the post-Soviet map of higher professional education.

In this paper, a new approach for solving fractional order differential equations (FDEs) with initial value is considered under suitable polynomial spline function. We develop an unconditionally stable numerical method to solve the linear and nonlinaer fractional differential equations. The error analysis and stability of the method are theoretically investigated. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the applicability, accuracy and stability of the proposed method.
