A comparative study based on two different asymmetric loss functions presented in this article. Two-parameter Rayleigh model is consider here as the underline model for the present comparative study, that evaluate the properties of Bayes estimators under progressive Type-II right censored data.

Log-rank, Wilcoxon and Tarone-Ware tests are most commonly used tests for testing the overall\nhomogeneity of survival curves, but in certain situation it appears that they have a significant\nloss of statistical testing power. One such case is the more than one time crossing of survival\ncurves. The problem considered often occurs in medical research. To overcome this problem, in\nthis article, we present and study a nonparametric test procedure based on a new weight. The\nproposed new weighted test has greater power to detect overall differences between more than\none time crossing survival curves. Simulation studies are performed to compare the proposed\nmethod with existing methods. Furthermore, the advantage of the new test is finally exemplified\nin the analysis of a β-thalassaemia major data.

The problem of identifying the best paths between given set of nodes and a given single-destination in a graph of vertices is commonly referred to as network multiple sources single-destination problems. In real life we always find ourselves in a critical situation that we seek the nearest set of related points such as the urgent need for fire stations. This paper describes the problem and proposes an algorithm for finding the shortest paths between the set of sources and a single-destination given that and ∈ weighted graph G(V,E,w) with vertex set V and arc set E associated with nonnegative real valued weight. An efficient algorithm is developed based on different graph representations. The proposed heuristic determines a candidate subgraph G\' and excludes all nodes that do not lead to destination. The proposed algorithm improves partially the performance of improved traditional shortest path algorithms ie., Dijkstra\'s algorithm. This is shown obviously by applying the algorithm on set of random graphs.

The modern industrial facilities are equipped by a great number of different mechanisms and devices powered by Asynchronous electric Motor (ASM), or their most complicated working regime is the starting that presents constraints of exploitation of the equipment, when their power is equal to the power of the devices generator. \nThe problems of exploitation have for origin the higher values of the reactive components of the current as well as the overcharge of the primary motors.\nFor this reason, this article is expanded to obtain a suitable startup mode for the asynchronous motors that manipulate some michanisms, and are powered by autonomous asynchronous generator (AAG).

Reinforced concrete framed structures are designed without regards of structural action of infill masonry walls. Brick masonry infill walls are widely used as interior partitions and external walls in buildings. They are treated as non-structural elements. From field evidence the infill masonry wall can help to reduce vulnerability of reinforced concrete framed structures. This paper presents the seismic evaluation of reinforced concrete framed structures considering the effect of masonry infill wall. Demir and Sivri’s theory used to model the masonry infill as an equivalent diagonal strut element. The static method and dynamic method analysis on bare frame, frame with infill and soft story uses ETABS software. The results shows that infill masonry framed structures have the lowest collapse risk and bare frames are the most vulnerable to induced collapse

Doxorubicin drug is an anti-cancer substance, but unwanted side effects result from its use. The objective of this research was to study the possibility of whether the Sage plant extract has the ability to reduce the harmful effects of the drug on vital organs like liver and kidneys.\nMale albino rats (Rattus norvegicus) which are sexually mature were divided into four groups (8 each); the control group injected intraperitoneally (i.p.) with a saline solution, DOX group injected i.p. weekly with doxorubicin (Dox) drug at a dose of 4 mg/kg for 7 weeks; DOX and Salvia group were injected i.p. weekly with a dose of Dox of 4 mg/kg for 7 weeks and swallow daily oral Sage leaf extract at a dose of 85 mg/kg for the same period and Salvia group swallow daily Sage leaf extract at a dose of 85 mg/kg for 7 weeks. After completion of the experiment animals were dissected and samples of kidneys and livers to prepare textile sections for routine histopathological examination were taken. The histopathological examination in doxorubicin-treated rats revealed some deterioration in both liver and kidneys functions and histopathology. These deteriorations were partially healed by treatments with Salvia extract. \nLevel of ALT was significantly (<0.05) increased in groups treated with Salvia alone or in combination with Dox while there were no change in AST levels in all groups. \nLevel of creatinine in sera of animals treated with Dox was significantly (<0.05) increased. This increase was diminished when the animals were treated with Salvia in addition to Dox. Also treatment of the animal with Dox increased the level of urea, but this increase was not diminished when treating animal with Salvia in addition to Dox.\nIn conclusion, the use of Salvia extract with toxic anticancer agent DOX may decrease the bad side effects of that drug.
